2009 GAP Teacher Training Workshop
As a part of 2009 Climate Cool Green Your School, we invited experts on campus activities from GAP again, Jenni Wiggle and Victoria Thompson, and organised a series of teacher training sessions in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Guangzhou from April 12 to April 30 2009 to help middle school teachers to guide there students in taking part in the activities.

2008 GAP Teacher Training Workshop
Global Action Plan (GAP) is a British charity engaged in sustainable development communications. Through organising various activities, it helps the public, enterprises and schools to understand climate change so that they may take practical actions both at work and in daily lives to cope with climate change. In Britain, CAP is cooperating with over 200 schools in developing and designing campus action programs and helping schools to solve problems concerning the environment and climate change. March 2-8 2008, experts on campus activities from GAP organised a series of training sessions in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chengdu and Beijing to provide trainings for the teachers of the middle schools participating in the Climate Cool Green Your School initiative so that they may guide the students in taking part in Climate Cool activities in a better way.

2008 Teacher and student Training in Guangzhou
Sam Bevan, a trainer from Southern Wales in Britain, is an experienced teacher on environmental education. Holding teaching positions in a number of schools, she has resided in Hong Kong for 10 years and has been engaged in teaching in close relation to sustainable development and environmental protection. In July 2008, she was invited to deliver a series of trainings for the middle school teachers and students participating in Climate Cool activities in Guangzhou. She provided guidance to support their Climate Cool Green Your School activities. You are welcome to read and use the training materials.

CREATE is a registered charity in sustainable energy education in Britain. In March 2007, CREATE organised a series of trainings for the middle school teachers and students participating in Climate Cool activities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing.Please find here the training materials.
2008 Climate Cool Green Your School: Science Popularity Drive among Students – April 2008
As part of Beijing 2008 Climate Cool Green Your School initiative, we organised a series of student activities for the senior middle school students in Beijing participating in the initiative.
On April 6, 200 student representatives visited the climate technology exhibition at National Climate Centre. They listened to the lecture(1) (2) iven by Liang Youye, Researcher of NCC about the current situation of climate change and how to cope with it. The students also visited Beijing Huafeng Group of Meteorological Audio and Video Information to see how weather forecast and weather programme are made at the Weather Channel.
On April 13, another 100 student representatives visited the 329-meter meteorological tower and the wind tunnel lab of Institute of Atmospheric Physics of CAS. Ms. Zhu Songli, Assistant Researcher of Energy Institute of State Development and Reform Commission, introduced the relationship between climate change and energy, and explained to the students how to measure and calculate the energy consumption and carbon emission of their schools (Click here to download)
