一直以来，我都对环境保护以及相关的内容有着浓厚的兴趣，积极参加各种增强对环境保护的认识，提高环保观念的活动。

早在小学，我就参加过环保作文比赛,当时街上那些披着动物皮毛叫卖的小贩引起了我的注意。于是我写了一篇关于保护野生动物的文章，尽管文笔稚嫩，可文章中表现出我不同于同龄人的敏锐触觉，透露出的真情实感，打动了评委老师，使我最终获得了优异的成绩。

读初中的时候，我与同学合作写过一篇生物实验探究论文，内容与环保息息相关：探究酸雨对植物的影响。过程漫长而困难重重，然而最后不仅论文获得广州市一等奖，更重要的是，我们更加深刻地意识到环境保护应该切切实实地落实在生活中。

从那以后，我一直坚持做到了一水多用，节约水资源；人离关灯，节用电器等，节约用电……虽然这些都是微不足道的细节，但我相信倘若人人都这样做，那么环境问题将不会像今天这样如此令人担忧。

就读高中以来，尽管学业紧张，我仍然尽可能地参加宣扬环保精神的活动：参加“节粮在身边”活动，参加爱鸟周相关活动……

虽然我只是一名普通的中学生，或许没有出众的履历，出色的特长，但是我拥有一颗热爱大自然与环境保护工作的心，并相信我有能力为环保事业贡献自己的力量！

For long, I hold a great interest in how to protect the environment and have taken part in many kinds of activities aiming to increase our awareness of protecting the environment. Owing to the importance of protecting the environment and my love for nature, I have devoted a great deal of time in it.

Form the time when I was a primary school student till now, I have kept concerning about environmental protection so that I wrote several articles which were thought highly of about it. In the articles, I revealed my heart-flew feelings towards those slaughtered animal and my experiments about how the acid rain exert its influence on plants. In addition, I always paid attention to those little things in everyday life which concern the environment conservation, such as closing the tap while leaving, making full use of water, using air-conditioner less frequently, etc. Trivial as these things are, they can make a difference in the environment if everybody keeps conscious of them.

As a high school student, maybe I am not as experienced as those who  have already accumulated lots of working-field experience in environmental protection, but I do think that enthusiasm has got no boundaries for age.

At the end of my introduction, I would like to restate my love for nature and my devotion to any work concerning environmental protection. And I believe, I have that ability to do a good job!
