As part of our regional Climate Cool project, in April the BC
China science team partnered with China Youth Daily, a leading Chinese media group
, to conduct a national survey of their young readers' attitudes and behaviour
towards climate change and sustainable consumption. As well as revealing Chinese
young people's Climate Change perceptions, the survey raised public awareness
and encouraged public dialogue with policy makers through resulting debates and
local and national media reports. It also provided Climate Cool a further chance
to develop appropriate projects for China's young people.
